Who this covers

This policy covers the Videoga.me website and its account and support features. Videoga.me is operated by LX Interactive Inc. (“we”, “us” and “our”).

For privacy questions or removal requests, email support@videoga.me.

Your privacy choices

Choose “Essential only” to keep optional analytics off, or “Accept analytics” to allow it where enabled. Browsing, search and account features work with either choice. Advertising is not currently active.

You can reopen these settings through “Privacy choices” in every page’s footer. Analytics is not active in local development; the controls tell you when it is inactive.

Information we handle

  • Account details: email address, display name, account identifiers, verification status and security records. Password accounts store a protected password hash, rather than a readable password.
  • Google sign-in: if you choose it, we receive an account identifier and basic identity information such as your name, email and verification status. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Your public profile: your display name and any username, bio or profile photo you add are visible to visitors. Your profile uses a permanent member-code address until you choose a vanity username. Your email, saved jobs and saved companies stay private. You can edit your bio and remove your photo in Account; copies already saved by other people cannot be recalled.
  • Your saved items: saved jobs, saved companies and associated dates. Saving a company does not subscribe you to emails.
  • Search requests: the words and filters you submit are processed to return results. URLs containing your search may remain in browser history.
  • Support messages: your reply email, optional name, selected reason and message when you contact us.
  • Technical information: network and request information, such as IP addresses, browser details, errors and security events, may be processed by the services that run and protect the site.

Why we use it

We use this information to provide search results, operate your account and private saved items, authenticate requests, send account and security emails where those features are available, respond to support requests, investigate problems and protect the service from abuse.

Optional analytics helps us understand use of public pages when you choose to enable it. We do not use your profile or saved items for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

Services and external sites

Microsoft Azure services support account data, photo storage and transactional email. Support correspondence is delivered to our Google Workspace mailbox. Google also handles sign-in if you choose that option, and optional Google Analytics when enabled with your consent.

These providers process information to deliver their services. Information may be processed outside your province or country, including in the United States, and may be subject to local legal requirements. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or threats to rights and safety.

Applying for a job takes you to an employer or recruitment service. Their privacy terms apply there. Videoga.me does not receive your application or résumé through the job-search interface.

Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. We also use local storage to remember your analytics choice. Sign-in and security storage supports essential account features; optional analytics requires your choice.

Account cookie — VGME.Auth: carries your protected sign-in session. The account ticket lasts up to 14 days and can renew with active use. “Keep me signed in” allows the cookie to persist between browser sessions; otherwise it is a session cookie. Browser session-restoration settings may preserve session cookies.

Temporary sign-in cookies: when you use Google sign-in, short-lived authentication and correlation cookies connect the return from Google to the sign-in you started. The external sign-in flow has a 10-minute timeout; temporary external-session cookies may expire sooner. Google may use its own cookies on its sign-in pages.

Blocking these essential cookies may prevent sign-in. Signing out or revoking sessions invalidates account access; clearing browser cookies also removes locally stored sign-in information.

Remembering your choice

We save your analytics choice, its version and the time you chose it in your browser’s local storage under vgme.analytics-consent.v1. This is not a cookie and is not attached to your account.

The choice is valid for 180 days. After that, optional analytics needs a new valid choice. The stored entry itself remains until replaced or cleared. Different browsers and devices need their own choice; open tabs in the same browser respond to changes.

If no valid saved choice is available, analytics stays off. If your browser prevents saving a choice, the controls show an error. A previously saved valid choice may still apply.

Your browser can clear cookies and site storage or block them. Clearing the preference means you may be asked again. Clearing account cookies may sign you out. Private-browsing sessions may forget choices when closed.

Optional Google Analytics

When production analytics is enabled and you accept, Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_… cookies to distinguish browser visits and maintain session information. Our tag configures their lifetime to 180 days without extending it on each visit.

We send selected public page views, with search text and query strings removed. Account, sign-in, saved-item and member-profile pages are excluded. We do not send account details, and advertising personalization is disabled. Google receives technical information through these requests, so analytics is not described as anonymous.

Before acceptance, our integration does not load the Google Analytics tag. Choosing “Essential only” disables it, clears its site cookies and, if it was already loaded, reloads the page to unload it. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it does not automatically erase data already received by Google.

Advertising consent preparation

Ads are not currently active. Our Advertising choices page lets you open Google’s consent controls separately from Analytics. Visiting other pages does not load this advertising tag.

When you choose to open those controls, your browser connects to Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may read existing Google cookies. Google’s consent service can store a consent record in cookies or browser storage. Ad requests remain paused even if you consent.

For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the message offers Consent, Do not consent and Manage options, with details of the advertising partners and purposes. Some partner purposes use legitimate interest, which you can review and object to in Manage options. We do not request browser geolocation permission or send account details, saved items or search text through this page.

Return through Advertising choices in the footer to reopen the message and change or withdraw consent where it applies. Advertising choices do not change your separate Analytics preference. Before enabling ads elsewhere on the site, we will update these disclosures and apply the appropriate consent controls there.

Retention and deletion

Your account information and saved items remain available while your account is active. Deleting an account removes the active account, provider links, profile and saved items. Your photo becomes inaccessible through the site immediately and is queued for storage cleanup.

Deleted photo files can remain in Azure recovery storage for seven days after storage deletion. Our production database has a seven-day backup recovery window, so backups can contain earlier account records during that period. Deleting an account is not immediate erasure of every backup copy.

Production web-request logs are configured for three-day retention, subject to a storage-size limit. Support emails and email-delivery records are stored separately from account records and are not automatically deleted with an account. Contact us about retention or removal of a particular record.

Access, corrections and control

You can edit your profile, manage saved items, change account security settings, request an export, or delete your account in Account settings. Export and deletion require account verification.

You can also ask us to access, correct or remove personal information by emailing support@videoga.me. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Applicable law may provide additional privacy rights and a right to complain to a privacy regulator.

Providing a photo or bio is optional. You can browse jobs without an account, and decline analytics without losing search or account features. Please do not include passwords, payment information or sensitive personal details in support messages.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page and its date when these practices change. Material changes will be explained before they take effect, with renewed consent where required. If we introduce advertising or paid features, we will explain their data use and provide any required choices before activating them.
