If you enjoy creating high-quality animations and bringing game characters to life, we'd love to hear from you! SUPERPOWERS YOU HAVE ARE * 5+ years of experience in gameplay animation, preferably in AAA action or FPS games, with at least one shipped title. * Advanced proficiency in Maya, with strong keyframe animation skills. * Experience creating gameplay animations, including character movement, combat, weapon handling, and interactions, preferably with first-person animation experience. * Solid experience working with motion capture data, including cleanup and refinement. * Strong understanding of animation principles, character movement, timing, weight, and responsiveness. * Hands-on experience with game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary engines), including animation implementation and optimization. * Good understanding of character rigs, animation pipelines, and technical constraints. * Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with strong communication and collaboration skills. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * A portfolio demonstrating high-quality gameplay animation work. * Intermediate+ English proficiency (written and spoken). YOU’RE A ROCKSTAR IF YOU HAVE * Proficiency in MotionBuilder and HIK mocap workflows. * Knowledge of Motion Matching and advanced animation systems. * Experience with animation scripting and tools development (Python, MEL). * Experience with facial animation and MetaHuman pipelines. AS A PART OF ROOM 8 STUDIO, YOU WILL * Create high-quality gameplay animations for characters, weapons, and interactions across various game genres. * Work with keyframe animation and motion capture data to create realistic and responsive character movements. * Implement and optimize animations in game engines, ensuring smooth integration and performance. * Collaborate with game designers, programmers, and other animators to develop and refine character movement, combat, and interaction animations. * Work with character rigs and contribute to improving animation pipelines and workflows. * Create technical guidelines and maintain high animation quality standards. * Collaborate with artists and project managers to ensure smooth production workflows and timely delivery. * Provide mentorship and guidance to junior animators, sharing knowledge and best practices. * JOIN US.
