Infrastructure Engineer

With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect. RESPONSIBILITIES * Monitor the health, performance and availability of infrastructure and services, and respond to alerts and incidents * Investigate recurring issues, identify their root causes and implement improvements to service reliability * Support development teams with infrastructure issues, including version control, build and deployment workflows. * Maintain Linux and Windows servers, virtualised infrastructure and related services * Perform planned maintenance, including patching, updates and backup checks, while minimising disruption * Create scripts and automation to improve routine operations and reduce manual work * Support the network, security and other infrastructure teams with troubleshooting and changes * Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, changes and operating procedures * Coordinate with vendors and service providers when specialist support is required * Maintain local studio infrastructure, including server rooms, and coordinate site changes with the global IT team and studio management * Participate in incident response and planned work outside normal hours when required * Assist with user support, onboarding, offboarding and asset management where local support is needed REQUIREMENTS * Working knowledge of Linux and Windows systems, including both servers and endpoints * Advanced knowledge of PC and laptop support, combined with a strong awareness of current hardware trends and innovations.  * Familiarity with endpoint management, productivity platforms and collaboration tools. * Experience with CI/CD tools Familiarity with private cloud and virtualized infrastructure * Experience with Google Workplace, Office365, Atlassian Suite * Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, LANs, WANs, VPNs and VLANs * Ability to work flexible hours around IT infrastructure upgrades and migrations * This is a full-time, on-site role, requiring your presence in the office to support teams collaboration NICE TO HAVES * Experience administering server hardware * Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management * Familiarity with containers and container orchestration * Experience with version control systems  * Familiarity with storage systems and backup technologies WHAT WE OFFER * An international team of over 600 employees spread across 7 studios around the world, each of which have their own unique qualities, and maintain a small-studio feel * An open, collaborative environment where ideas are welcome and encouraged * A managerial team consisting of highly experienced game developers at the top of their fields * Sharing hobbies and passions with like-minded colleagues * Inclusive environment with many activities organized by the studios or the employees * Commitment to making the best game possible for the fans, including listening to community feedback
